Motorola and Google Cloud have joined forces in an exciting collaboration to bring generative AI (Artificial Intelligence) to the Razr smartphone family. This partnership aims to enhance the user experience by incorporating cutting-edge technology into the devices.

The flagship smartphone in the Razr series, the Razr 50 ultra clamshell, will be the first device to benefit from the AI features. The newly introduced “Moto ai” feature will be seamlessly integrated across all smartphone applications, providing users with an enhanced experience. With Moto ai, users can complete tasks, generate content and images, and easily retrieve information from their personal networks, text messages, emails, and more.

The integration of Moto AI into the devices allows for context-aware personal and collaborative input, thanks to Google’s advanced artificial intelligence capabilities. This collaboration enables Motorola to leverage the AI models from Google Cloud’s Vertex AI cloud-managed service, which includes access to Gemini, Google’s flagship AI model. Gemini enables contextual and conversational understanding of information, as well as a text-to-image producing model.

Two special features have been introduced as part of this collaboration: Magic Canvas and Style Sync. Magic Canvas allows users to create images that reflect their phone’s look and feel. By using their camera to match outfits and adjust wallpapers, icons, themes, and more, users can personalize their device to their own style.
